Danish Henning Larsen Architects have designed a new corporate centre for Novo Nordisk in collaboration with SLA landscape architects and the engineering company Alectia.
The architecture, located in Bagsværd, Denmark, is characterised by clean simple lines and creates optimum conditions for the users with its both functional and sustainable design.
The new corporate centre consists of two office buildings situated in a green and attractive landscape, inspired by the Danish scenery. The landscape design provides the users with a stimulating green environment and ensures an inseparable contact between the buildings and the green surroundings.
The new corporate centre hosts the company’s top management and 1,100 administrative employees. Offering a break from the work environment, designed to have the draw of contemporary casual dining destination, the cafeteria promotes a social side of work.
Square acoustical panels help manage the noise factor inside and loose stackable furniture doubles up this cafeteria into a town hall meeting space. Fully equipped with projection systems and LCD screens, the space can transform into a seminar space with ease.
The architects designed special luminaries that light up both ways, highlighting the ceiling while providing tables with illumination. White PVC membranes are installed on the ceilings with a special indirect lighting system that offers exceptional colour rendering.
